Families at Greenbooth Village are well served by several nurseries and primary schools in the local village, and have a variety of options for secondary and further education in the nearby towns.

All four local primary schools are rated ‘Outstanding’ or ‘Good with Outstanding features’ by Ofsted. These include Norden Primary School, Whittaker Moss, St Vincent RC Primary and Caldershaw Primary which are all within walking distance or a very short drive.

There are several high schools and colleges just a few minutes’ drive away towards Rochdale along the main A680 Edenfield Road, including Falinge Park High School and Kingsway Park High, both rated ‘Good’, and Redwood special school, while the renowned Bury Grammar is just half an hour by car.

In nearby Rochdale are a number of supermarkets, including Tesco, Asda, Morrisons and Lidl, plus a variety of high street names. Norden is a village with a strong community tradition, where annual events are enjoyed by many.

The town’s war memorial becomes the focus every November for the Remembrance Sunday commemoration, and Bonfire Night and Christmas events are well marked.

There are a number of very active social and community groups, and several sports clubs including the cricket club which hosts the annual bonfire and other events, while the Methodist Church and St Peters’ Church also host regular events throughout the year.

The development is extremely well connected, situated on Over Town Lane, off the A680 Edenfield Road. Greenbooth Village sits within stunning countryside yet is within easy reach of Norden Village, several large towns including Rochdale, Bury, Ramsbottom and Rawtenstall, and is less than an hour from Manchester and Leeds.

The railway station with four trains an hour to Manchester Victoria, and regular services to Leeds, Wigan, Blackburn, Bolton and Bradford. The station is now a ‘multi-modal hub’ and home to the recently opened Metrolink extension which also provides a direct service to Manchester city centre.

For drivers, the M62 motorway junction is also less than 15 minutes’ from the development, offering easy access for commuters and shoppers to Manchester (45 minutes’ drive) and Leeds (1 hour), and on to the M6 and M1 motorways.
