A fabulous festive family Christmas

What a talented bunch you are ! We were incredibly impressed with all of the entries in the Russell Homes Best Dressed Christmas Tree competition.

From the glamorous to the retro to the simple, each and every one was a worthy winner.

In the end the judges selected this heartwarming photograph from Kershaw7763 who entered via Instagram.

We felt it encapsulated the very best of Christmas, a simple family tree with homemade decorations hung out of the reach of little fingers. It made us smile.

Congratulations and Merry Christmas to Stephanie, Kieran and Noah and their nominated charity Springhill Hospice in Rochdale.

Stephanie and Kieran, who are residents of Russell Homes’ Stubley Meadows development in Littleborough, were presented with their treat-filled hamper by Russell Homes sales manager Jackie and assistant Karen.

The couple purchased a gorgeous four-bedroom Cromwell home in April after Stephanie’s parents Jennifer and Michael Kershaw purchased the equally fabulous four-bedroom Howarth on the same development.

Delightfully, their new homes are directly across the road from each other. Close enough for little Noah, age 1, to be able to see his grandparents’ Christmas tree from the window of his own lounge.

Both households, along with Stephanie’s brother and sister are coming together for Christmas Day in her spacious kitchen diner.

The family is now planning a number of additional get togethers over the festive season where they will enjoy the contents of our competition hamper.

“It’s amazing, we’re absolutely thrilled to win. I can’t believe there’s so much in the hamper, we’ve got lots of guests over Christmas and New Year so it’ll definitely get eaten.

“I’m so pleased people liked our tree. Most of the decorations are handmade by my mum and have some meaning to them.

“This time next year Noah will be a big brother, so there will be two little heads in front of our tree in 2023 as I’m eight months pregnant.”

Along with the hamper, worth up to £100, Russell Homes is giving a donation of £100 to a charity of the winner’s choice.

The family is planning to head over to Rochdale’s Springhill Hospice in the New Year to hand over the cheque in person.

Stephanie added: “I used to volunteer at Springhill when I was younger and we know people who have been helped by the charity. It’s such an incredible place and deserve every penny of help we can give them.”

Merry Christmas Stephanie and family, and to all of our buyers, staff, and visitors from everyone here at Russell Homes. See you in 2023 !!
