Anita's bringing home the bird for Christmas

Russell Homes brought an extra touch of festive cheer to one lucky family this Christmas.

Anita Percival collects her turkey from Philip Wildblood in Norden

Visitors to December’s special evening events at Greenbooth Village were entered into a prize draw to win a 14lb turkey, courtesy of local Norden butcher Wildbloods.

The winner was Anita Percival from Whitefield, who visited the Norden development because she is interested in buying a new home nearer to her workplace in Rochdale, preferably with a rural outlook.

She said: “This is so fantastic, I hadn’t got round to ordering a turkey and was starting to worry I’d left it too late. It really couldn’t come at a better time as we’re off to see family in Lincolnshire and will be cooking Christmas dinner for everyone. I’m so pleased it’s a lovely fresh turkey from a local butchers, winning this is just brilliant, thank you!”

Greenbooth Village is a development of 42 new family homes overlooking the reservoir in the hills above Norden. Already nine of the first phase of properties have been reserved, with buyers coming from across Rochdale, Bury and East Lancashire.

The sales office opened on an amended schedule over Christmas, but is back to normal now, Thursday to Monday, 10am to 5pm. For more information about Greenbooth Village click here.
