The site will be raising money for the charity in a variety of ways over the coming months.

The first fundraiser will take place over the Easter Weekend when we will be raffling off a hamper full of festive goodies.

Visitors will be asked to make a £1 donation per raffle entry and all the money raised will go the the charity. Russell Homes will even double the total raised.

And a collection box will be available for on-going donations at the sales centre.

The partnership comes after Springhill Hospice was nominated by one of our buyers at Stubley Meadows to receive a donation as part of our Christmas competition.

Stephanie Kershaw won the Best Dressed Tree contest and picked up an incredible hamper packed full of local produce worth £100.

We then matched that with the offer of a donation to a charity of the winner’s choice,

Vicki from Springhill Hospice popped by the sales centre this week to collect the cheque and to tell us more about the charity.

Jackie Matheson, Russell Homes Sales Manager, said: “It was lovely to meet Vicki and hear about the wonderful work Springhill Hospice does in the local community. We were really moved by the dedication of the staff and the difference they can make for patients and their families, and want to do more to support them,

“I am delighted, therefore, to confirm will will continue to support Springhill Hospice here at Stubley Meadows by helping to raise money and awareness of the charity.”

Karen Corneille, Russell Homes Sales Consultant, added: ” It’s a wonderful charity that relies on the support of the local community and we’re honoured to be a part of this and help raise funds for such a deserving cause.”

Springhill Hospice in Rochdale is a 16 bed purpose-built facility offering specialist palliative care to patients and their families from diagnosis to end of life care.

The hospice is embedded in the local community and relies on fundraising and donations to enable them to provide the highest standard of care for patients with life-limiting illnesses.

Vicki Murray added: “I would like to say a massive thank you to Russell Homes for choosing us a their charity partner. I am very excited to work with them and see all their wonderful fundraising ideas come to life.

“Springhill Hospice simply could not continue to provide end of life care to the Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale area without the support and generosity of people in our community.”

Details of events happening this year will be announced on our website and on social media.
