Stubley Meadows fundraiser and family fun

russell homes stubley meadows fun day

Residents of Stubley Meadows were invited to join prospective buyers at our show home launch and family fun day, to raise money for our charity partner.

The weather may not have been on our side, but there were still big smiles all round to celebrate the official launch of our new Bower show home. We were delighted to welcome Springhill Hospice, our charity partner, who ran a tombola and raised over £130.

Springhill Hospice is a specialist palliative care unit that provides physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual support to patients with life-limiting illnesses in Rochdale.

We were thrilled to also welcome the coaches and players from our community partner, Rochdale Hornets who popped along to run some fun rugby skills sessions in the show home garden.

Rochdale Hornets Sporting Foundation is committed to creating a healthier, happier and more resilient community. They aim to encourage community lead activities, provide more inclusive sport, wellbeing and play and support young people.

While the rain did its best to stop play, our visitors were still able to enjoy a free treat from the ice cream van and take photos with mascots Springy the Frog and Hooper the Hornet.

Jackie Matheson, Sales Manager, said: “Thank you to our partners and guests who came along to our show home launch and charity fundraiser. While the weather certainly played its part on the day, those who did brave the rain helped support a very worthy charity and hopefully enjoyed a nice treat from the ice cream van.”

“It was nice to do something special to mark the launch of the new Bower show home and to welcome many new families who have chosen to make Stubley Meadows their new home.”

Vickie Barnett, Corporate and Partnerships Fundraiser, from Springhill Hospice said: “Thank you so much for having us, we had a great day despite the weather and raised over £130. This money is so important to helping us continue to provide specialist care for our patients at the hospice, and we are so thankful to Russell Homes and all the guests who took part in the tombola.”

Stubley Meadows is now a completed development. For further information email sales@russellhomes.co.uk
